black and white

lace button up - c/o fernlice
skirt - crossroads trading co.
Jeffrey campbell litas - c/o style recognized

I finally got around to styling this black lace sleeve button up from Fernlice. Really love how the black lace is limited to the sleeve area and collarbone region and how the white cuffs add a lovely contrast.

I'm back at college for my summer term and just finished my first week of classes this week. I'm taking 5 studio classes and they are 5 hrs long each, which most of you would gasp in disbelief at. I'll be pretty busy this summer with classes, but I'll try to get posts in as best I can.

Vertical Stripes

striped blouse - c/o tideshe
cobalt blue blazer - c/o tideshe
black shorts - Fashion Q
boots - H&M
sunnies - c/o zerouv

Loving this vertical striped chiffon blouse. It is the first chiffon blouse I have owned that is not see through. I find that most chiffon tops are so sheer that you have to wear a bandeau/tank top underneath, however this one feels sheer but isn't see through at all. I am also loving the this cobalt hue on this blazer, but unfortunately my estimate on sizing has not been accurate. It runs extremely small to the point that this blazer is very tight and unwearable for comfort reasons. I ordered a Medium for this blazer but it felt like an XS. I have wider shoulders, so I think this was made for people with more narrow shoulders. But if you plan on purchasing a blazer from this site, definitely size up. That's the thing with ordering online. It's very hit/miss for me with sizing, and I lucked out on this blazer. Really love the rich cobalt blue hue. It's the perfect contrast for this black and white outfit.

Currently on a 3 week break right now before I dive into summer term. Going to enjoy my break and relax as much as possible. I had planned to go to the Wildfox Couture sample sale on Friday morning, but I ended up not going due to lazy/lack of sleep reasons. Will definitely snatch up the chance the next time they do it!

Floral Knits

floral sweater - c/o choies
lace shorts - c/o oasap
sunnies - c/o zerouv
nude boots - h&m

I am obsessed with this floral knit from choies. It's the perfect dupe for the Wildfox Couture floral sweater that I've been eyeing for quite some time. Loving the distressed edges on this knit. Adds a lovely texture. I decided to play up the sweetness of this floral print with some lace shorts and finished it off with my nude boots which I have been constantly wearing.

It's finals week, and I am as stressed out as it gets. One more week until break. I can do this.

As a graphic designer, I find this quote to be very spot on.

Bloggers Bazaar

Stopped by the Blogger's Bazaar event in L.A. that was hosted by Aimee from Song of Style and another blogger I'm not familiar with. Truth be told, the people I wanted to meet/knew were Aimee and Chriselle Lim. I apologize for the lack of photos. I couldn't stay long and most of the few shots I took were not very good. There was a long line outside that tried my patience a bit. I wasn't expecting having to wait in a long line. I would have been okay with it had I not had other plans that day. But at least I got to meet Aimee and Chriselle! I have been following Aimee's blog for awhile and Chriselle's youtube videos are so beautifully put together. There was also a free nail design station where you can get free manicures, but the wait for that wasn't worth it. However, they also had free food and drinks where you can grab as much as you want (YES). I was too much in a hurry to buy anything, so sadly I had to leave empty-handed. Well, not completely empty-handed. I had two drinks in one hand and photos with Aimee and Chriselle on my phone in the other as I left.

It also happens to be my birthday today. I'm officially 19. Spent the rest of the day working on homework/finals with a friend at Coffee Bean. Topped it off with some Ferrero Rocher gelato <3 Yes, it's as amazing as it sounds.

Cross print

top - H&M
nude boots - H&M
leather jacket - c/o sheinside
cross print leggings - c/o toosexystore
sunnies - c/o zerouv

I think these are the craziest leggings I've ever owned. It's such a bold print, so I decided to keep everything else simple. A grey top, leather jacket, and nude heels were the perfect match.

Tried this new coffee & tea place in Old Town, Pasadena called Intelligentsia yesterday with a friend. I tried the mocha, but I'll have to admit I'm more of a tea person. If you're a coffee savant and looking for a cool atmosphere, this should be your next stop. Can't find one near you? Fear not, they have an online store for you coffee addicts to find the coffee that sings to you.

Summer vibes

bustier - c/o swaychic
high waisted shorts - crossroad trading co. (topshop label)
denim shirt - Target
bag - c/o toosexystore
nude boots - H&M
baroque swirl sunnies - c/o zerouv

It felt like summer today. Hence, the lets-go-to-the-beach outfit. I can already imagine lying in the warm sand and soaking up some vitamin D. Or just sitting outside and reading a satisfying book.

Loving this new quilted shoulder bag from toosexystore. I love the chain link shoulder strap. I find a certain elegance to it. For me, the size is on point and the material is quite sturdy. And it adds a vibrant pop of color to my outfit. This'll be a fun addition to my bag collection that mainly consists of "safe" colors: black, white, or variations of brown.

Topped off this casual look with some baroque swirl sunnies in white from zerouv

I also received some cross print leggings from toosexystore that I can't wait to blog about.

Pulled an all nighter this week for a midterm trying to print and bind a book. Boy, was that fun. This procrastination needs to stop.

Horse Print

horse print sweater - c/o wholesale-dress.net
faux leather pleated skirt - c/o lashes of london
cat eye sunnies - c/o zerouv
knee high socks - Styles
Jeffrey Campbell Litas - c/o Style Recognized

Lashes of London contacted me asking me to style one of their pieces, so I decided to pick out this chic faux leather pleated skirt. When I received this in the mail, I was very impressed with its quality. As for the fit, it was pretty tight on me though (just for reference, I ordered a UK size 8), so definitely size up if you plan on ordering from them. It's sometimes difficult ordering online since I often vacillate between a size S and M and it all just depends.

My affair with faux leather has been going steady. I'm also quite the sucker for pleats. So you do the math. In this particular outfit, I decided to style it with my horse print sweater and these lovely cat eye sunnies from zerouv. Aren't the horses on this sweater just freaking majestic? An excellent piece for layering, may I add.

So, apparently Marc Jacobs and Jeremy Scott were at Art Center College of Design on Thursday for the M/M Paris exhibition. I can't believe they were at my school and I missed it.

Oh, and a couple weeks ago, I went to the new Topshop that opened at The Grove in L.A recently and picked up a black double side split maxi skirt. Despite their high prices, I really loved their selection of clothing and they gave out really nice canvas tote bags and a magazine with your purchase too.
